Thirty Injured in Tram-Car Collision in Poznań, Poland
Thirty people have been taken to hospital following a collision involving two cars and three trams in the centre of Poznań.
The accident happened at 6.30am on the morning of April 21, near the junctions of ulica Hetmańska and ulica 28 czerwca 1956. Two cars were in collision, forcing one of them onto the tram lines.
Police in Poznań said that the injured people, among them at least one child, have been taken to six different hospitals around city. There has been no statement yet about the extent of the injuries.
Rush hour traffic was diverted around the scene of the collision, but MPK, the Poznań public transport operator, said that services at ulica Hetmańska had been restored as of 9:10am.
